PELL CITY – Linda Cox Crews, 65, of Pell City, AL, formerly of News Orleans (Metairie), LA, passed away June 2, 2015. Linda is survived by her husband, James (Jim) Rex Crews, of Pell City, AL; son, Darin LeBlanc (Alicia) of Slidell, LA; sisters, Renee Richard of Pensacola, FL, Suzanne Berger of Ponchatoula, LA; brothers, Kenny Cox and Scott Cox of Metairie, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Crews was born July 28, 1949 in San Antonio, TX to Irwin and Lucille Cox. She graduated from Riverdale High School, Jefferson, LA in 1968. She also attended the LSU Extension Center in News Orleans, LA. Linda married James Rex Crews of Selma, AL in 1989. During their 25 years of marriage they lived in Kenner and Covington, LA, Fayetteville, GA and Pell City, AL. She enjoyed cooking (almost a Chef), fishing, crafts and the New Orleans Saints Football. Her past employment included Retail Food Sales Representative and an Office Manager for a Construction Company in New Orleans. Linda will be cremated and services will be held in New Orleans. The family request memorial contributions be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
