Cayce Lamar Cash ASHVILLE - Mr. Cayce Lamar Cash, age 72, of Ashville, Alabama passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018.
Mr. Cash was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ashville and a humble servant of Jesus Christ. He retired as a Postmaster from the U.S. Postal Service after 28 1/2 years of service. Mr. Cash was a Vietnam veteran serving in combat and infantry. He served in active duty during Operation Enduring Freedom. He was also retired from the Alabama Army National Guard after 28 1/2 years of service.
Preceding him in death are his parents, William Carl Cash and Annie Zell Crowe Cash; his son, Jeffery Lamar Cash; and his brother, Larry Cash.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Ann Cash; sons, Joey (Tracy) Cash, Brian (Paige) Cash, Christopher (Deb) Reid, and Randall Reid; sisters, Kay Tyler and Cherrie Dobbins; grandchildren, Jaci Cash, Corbin Cash, Cylas Cash, and Emma Reid.
Funeral service for Mr. Cash will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 11 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Ashville. The family will receive friends from 9:30 - 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow in Pine Forest Cemetery. Bro. Jay Stewart and Bro. James Sampley will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Adam Cash, Derand Minton, Paul Rhoads, Gary Cone, Joe Sweat and Calvin Bailey.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund, First Baptist Church of Ashville, 85 5th Avenue, Ashville, AL 35953.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Alacare Hospice for their help during this time.
