Graveside service for Linda Sue Rowe Phelps, age 72, was held Friday, April 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Broken Arrow Cemetery. Ms. Phelps passed away peacefully on April 16, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Oscar Rowe and Maude Anne Bice; brothers, Jack Rowe, Buck Rowe, Ennis Rowe; and sister, Willie Ann May. She is survived by her oldest son, Willie Jack (Lisa) Phelps, Jr.; youngest son, Timothy Rowe Phelps; daughter, Nancy Leigh Phelps Gault; brother, Bill Rowe; two sisters, Celestine Shockley, Lavania Herring; and four grandchildren, Paige Victoria Phelps, Colin Michael Phelps, Nathalie Elizabeth Gault, and Nicholas Andrew Gault. Linda was especially loved by her immediate family who devoted much of their lives to her care and welfare. Her proudest accomplishments were being a mother and also attending Blue Mountain College in Blue mountain, MS, to study missionary work. She will be remembered fondly with love for her beauty, intelligence, wit, resilience and sense of humor despite an unfair share of many adversities, hardships and tragedies that she endured throughout her life. Through her death, the family has been blessed by the reuniting of long lost family members and filled with a new hope of rekindled and lasting family relationships.
