Christine Griffin, 86, of Odenville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, at the home of her daughter in Forsyth, GA.

Born Christine Turner on February 1, 1938, she was the beloved wife of the late John Wilburn Griffin, who preceded her in death in 1991.

Christine was always busy, whether she was crocheting small toys for her grandchildren, tackling a challenging crossword puzzle, preparing delicious meals for her family, or welcoming visiting family and friends with open arms. She was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she found solace and community. These simple joys brought her immense joy and allowed her to connect with her loved ones in a special way.

Christine will be deeply missed by her children, John Griffin (Myra), Connie Colley (Tim) and Ronda Powell (Lewis); grandchildren, Angie Griffin, Ryan Colley (April), Christopher Bowen, Joel Colley and Brandon Bowen (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Annalee Colley, Lily Colley, William Colley, John David Bowen, Lily-Ann Smith and Jax Bowen. Additionally, she is survived by a sister, Helen Davis and by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held January 12, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 77 Calvary Dr, Odenville, AL 35120. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
